A man has revealed how you can change any app icon on your iPhone to look like another.
TikTok user @kaansanity regularly shares handy tips and tricks that many iPhone users don’t know about.
But one of his most recent videos on how you can “disguise” apps on your phone screen has really got people talking.
In a clip that has been viewed more than 2 million times on the social media app, the man demonstrates how easy it is to change the app icons to anything you want – but some people were quick to point out one of its flaws.
The hack, which is actually just a little-known iPhone feature, can be accessed by opening Apple’s shortcut app.
Then click on the plus button in the top right-hand corner, and hit ‘Add Action’.
Once there, search for ‘Open App’ and scroll down to the button with the multi-coloured square.
Scroll through your apps until you find the one you want to “disguise.”
Press on the three dots in the top right-hand corner and add the action to your home screen with a different name and logo.
So for example @kaansanity made his Tinder app look like it was actually his weather app.
Since being posted, the video has received almost 105,000 likes and 1,200 comments from people who quickly found fault with the hack.
“Ok well now I’m about to click on all my man’s apps”, joked one person.
Another said: “Why you teachin shady people to be more shady.”
A third added: “Not me about to start an issue with my bf.”
And: “This could end bad,” said a fourth.
However, the feature can also be used as a way to customise your home screen as one of his colleagues changed it to look like a Windows 95 desktop.
