Primark caused quite a stir after fans spotted a problem with one of their recent Instagram posts.
The clothing brand shared details of one of its latest releases on social media on Saturday (February 21) but instead of being flooded with comments from excited fans, the post received criticism.
A photo of a beautiful polka-dot pyjama set laid out next to a bowl of popcorn and a cup of hot chocolate was uploaded with the caption: “Gang’s all here for the Saturday afternoon movie marathon.”
But a number of its customers complained that they cannot actually purchase it since Primark stores are closed.
One person said: “It’s a pity we can’t actually buy them!!!!”
“Isn’t it about time you guys go online?!” said another.
While a third said: “Stop teasing with new pj’s… first thing I’m doing when you open again is hitting the pj section hard.”
Whilst someone else tagged their friend and wrote: “Primark trip when we can!”
Despite the criticism, the pyjamas have still proven a hit with fans as the post racked up nearly 35,000 likes.
Primark stores in England are closed as part of coronavirus restrictions.
The Government ordered the closure of all non-essential shops, meaning that aside from supermarkets and pharmacies, there aren’t many shops for Brits to browse.
In a statement, Primark said its “top priority” continues to be the health and safety of their workers and customers.
